Frames provide a link between the work of the artist and the space in which they are found. Their role, in addition to purely practical protective function, is to merge the image with the interior and, at the same time, highlight the differences. The variety of frames, styles and finishes allows to highlight features of the image while retaining its individual character. The design of the frame can significantly enhance the visual impact of the work. Poorly chosen frame can even disfigure them.

The frame is picking the rank of the image up. It is its aesthetic complement and is improving the conditions for display. It has been an integral part of paintings from hundreds of years, present at manor houses, at palaces or churches. It is often perceived as the separate, valuable and essential works of art.
